About the Château

Château de La Valouze is located in the Green Périgord, between the Bordeaux vineyards and the Dordogne.

Built in 1861, the estate spans 34 hectares of parkland and includes the main château, guest houses, a grand ballroom, a winter garden, a pool with pool house, and scenic walking trails. The grounds feature three lakes, a bamboo forest, and rare trees—including a 400-year-old oak.

For our wedding weekend, we’ll have exclusive use of the entire estate.

We’re thrilled to host many of our guests onsite at the Château! However, space is limited and we won’t be able to accommodate everyone. Onsite rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis following RSVPs, once formal invitations are sent out.

We’ll let you know whether you’ve been allocated a room on the estate or if you’ll need to arrange nearby accommodations.

For guests planning to stay offsite, we’ve reserved a hotel block at Hôtel du Périgord in the village of Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, about 20 minutes from the château. To book, please email contact@hotelduperigord.fr and mention the names of the bride and groom, along with your intended dates of stay (June 4–7). Please note that the rooms are pre-booked and cannot be reserved through the hotel’s online portal. The hotel block is being held free of charge until January 31st, so we kindly ask that you make your reservation by then.

Alternatively, there are numerous Airbnbs and rental properties in the vicinity of the château should you wish to explore that option.
